(2nd Shift) Monday- Thursday 2:15pm -12:45am

Roles & Responsibilities:

Setup, layout and operate various CNC lathes and/or mills

Reads blueprint or job order for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances and tooling instructions such as fixtures, cutting speeds, depth of cut, and determines sequence of operations.

Selects, positions, and secures tool in tool holder.

Positions and secures workpiece in holding device, machine table, chuck, centers, or fixtures.

Moves controls to position tool and workpiece in relation to each other, and to set specified feeds, speeds, and depth of cut.

Sets up fixture, starts machine.

Requires ability to read precision measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers.

Observes operation of machine and verifies conformity of machined work piece to specifications.

Keeps work area clean and orderly

Follows all Company rules and safety policies.

Discusses errors in diagrams or production order with supervisor or engineer to clarify assembly problems.

Requirements:

Performs any assembly-type functions, using hand or power tools.

Adjusts, trims, and fits parts to close tolerances.

Follows visual aids (standard work) to ensure work is correct.

May perform testing of assembled product.

Make up cartons, print labels, insert protective packing material, seal finishing product.

Meet efficiency rates.

Perform quality checks to ensure quality specifications are met.

Work within all safety guidelines and wear all required PPE (steel-toe shoes, hearing protection, and

safety glasses).

Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor or team leader.

Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition - 5S.

Must be flexible to rotate job assignments within various work cells.

Performs related duties as assigned by supervision

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent

1+ yrs of previous CNC experience preferred

  • Ability to stand 90% of shift.

Pay rate: $26.50
