Responsibilities

Draw blood specimens from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established procedures and safety protocols.

Prepare specimens for laboratory testing accurately and efficiently.

Explain procedures to patients to create a trusting and comfortable atmosphere.

Maintain accurate records and documentation of all specimen collections and related activities.

Ensure a safe and professional environment at all times.

Demonstrate leadership behaviors and focus on process excellence in daily tasks.

Work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to confidentiality and patient information security standards.

Required Skills

Excellent phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.

Ability to provide error-free, high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.

Proficiency in keyboard and data entry tasks.

Effective communication skills to explain procedures to patients and build trust.

Additional Skills & Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).

Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience required; over one year preferred.

Customer service experience in retail or service environments is advantageous.

Reliable transportation to the worksite, with a commute time of 20–25 minutes preferred.

Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime, is necessary.

Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work the full duration of scheduled shifts.
