Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Specialty Compounding Pharmacy is seeking a skilled Pharmacist with sterile compounding expertise for a 13-week contract-to-hire opportunity. This role ensures the accurate preparation of sterile and non-sterile compounded medications in compliance with state and federal regulations, prioritizing patient safety and quality standards.
Location: Kennett Square, PA
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 4:30pm OR 9:00am - 5:30pm
- Possible shift: Monday - Friday, 10:30am - 7:00pm
Responsibilities:
- Accurately compound sterile and non-sterile preparations following master formula worksheets.
- Implement and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies to maintain compliance and safety.
- Ensure cleaning and garbing policies are strictly followed.
- Perform calculations and maintain thorough documentation.
- Operate and monitor production and computerized equipment in accordance with policy.
- Utilize proper aseptic techniques to maintain medication quality, purity, and potency.
- Prepare work areas thoroughly prior to production.
- Conduct quality control testing and inspections on compounded preparations.
- Stay updated on new compounding techniques, formulations, and technologies.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to compounding pharmacy.
Qualifications:
- Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist license required.
- Recent pharmacy experience preferred.
- Sterile compounding experience is mandatory.
- New graduates with the required licensure and skills are encouraged to apply.
