Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid and active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL); copies must be provided with your application.
- Experience working as a Special Education Teacher, particularly in Life Skills Self-Contained or Resource/Instructional classrooms.
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring.
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
- Passion for fostering independence and growth in students with diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to individual education plans.
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and general education staff to support inclusive practices.
- Track and communicate student progress, attending meetings as required.
- Foster a safe, positive, and supportive classroom culture.
- Engage with families to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
