Qualifications:
- Valid CO DOE Teacher license with Special Education Generalist (5-21) endorsement
- Experience with mild to severe disabilities required; autism and cognitive disability experience preferred
- Background in ABA, CPI, behavioral strategies, or Denver Model strongly desired
- Demonstrated leadership with paraprofessionals is a plus
- Experience with self-contained, affective needs, or structured learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver individualized instruction to elementary-aged students
- Liaise with speech/OT/psych professionals and lead a small paraprofessional team
- Implement behavioral interventions; use de-escalation techniques as needed
- Complete district-specific credentialing requirements before start
