Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist, working in a supportive educational environment near Lake Oswego, OR. This position offers 20 hours per week, with an engaging schedule spanning four days each week across two local schools. You'll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of approximately 25 students as they work toward their communication goals within a specialized classroom program.
What we seek in the ideal candidate:
- Valid Oregon SLP license or eligibility
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status welcomed
- Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in educational settings
- Strong collaborative skills to partner with educators and families
- Ability to develop individualized therapy plans and track student progress
- Familiarity with IEP documentation and compliance a plus
Your role and responsibilities will include:
- Delivering speech and language therapy services to students in a communication classroom program
- Developing, implementing, and updating Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborating with classroom teachers, special educators, and support staff to optimize student outcomes
- Engaging families and caregivers in the therapeutic process to promote generalization of skills
- Maintaining accurate, timely documentation of student progress and services provided
Compensation for this role reflects your professional expertise and commitment, with pay offered at $40-50 per hour based on your experience and the district's budget.
