Occupational Therapist School Setting in Silver Spring, MD

We’re looking for a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join an engaged team, providing essential support to students through both individual make-up sessions and innovative group interventions. This role offers flexibility with either full-time or part-time options; part-time schedules are ideally set for Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, totaling 30 hours per week.

Key Qualifications:

• Licensed OT or COTA in Maryland
• Experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy preferred
• Comfort working with push-in service models within Art and Life Skills classes
• Strong collaboration and communication abilities
• Adaptability and interest in supporting make-up sessions rather than managing a dedicated caseload

Responsibilities Include:

• Delivering occupational therapy interventions during scheduled push-in sessions and make-up times
• Supporting students’ development in functional and academic skills within the classroom setting
• Collaborating closely with fellow educators and multidisciplinary teams
• Utilizing Wednesdays for documentation, meetings, and follow-up during student half-days (for full time schedules)
• Actively participating in onsite interviews for candidates, offering a firsthand look at the vibrant school community

• Onsite presence is required; remote work is not available
• Three-month contract with the potential for permanent placement
