Job Description
An exciting opportunity awaits skilled Special Education Teachers near Denver, CO, for the 2026-2027 school year! Three full-time positions are available across elementary campuses, each offering a unique, rewarding caseload supporting students with exceptionalities. Assignments are on-site, spanning 37.5 hours per week from late July through late May, and candidates will work at a single school for the duration of their contract.
Available Caseloads:
- Learning Specialist (Mild/Moderate) at an elementary campus serving a diverse community of learners.
- Affective Needs classroom focused on students with pronounced emotional or behavioral disabilities, requiring leadership of a small paraprofessional team; expertise with Autism, CPI, ABA, de-escalation, and behavioral strategies is highly valued.
- Structured Learning Services in a self-contained setting for students with severe cognitive/behavioral disabilities and a strong Autism program, collaborating with in-class support providers. Prior experience with severe behaviors, self-contained classrooms, and station-based schedules will set you apart.
Qualifications Sought:
- Valid Colorado Department of Education Teacher license with Special Education Generalist (ages 5-21) endorsement.
- Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and lead paraprofessionals.
- Hands-on experience with Autism spectrum supports, CPI, ABA, or related behavioral interventions.
- Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative, positive approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver personalized instruction for students with varying learning needs.
- Support professional growth and guide paraprofessional staff.
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with therapists, psychologists, and other service providers.
- Implement evidence-based strategies to support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development.
