Special Education Teacher in Spartanburg, SC

Qualifications:

• Active Special Education Teacher certification in South Carolina, or certification currently pending with intent to obtain full licensure.
• Experience with students in special education, specifically with learning disabilities, is highly beneficial.
• Strong commitment to fostering academic, social, and emotional growth in a diverse classroom setting.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with fellow educators, support personnel, students, and parents.
• Excellent communication, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to work onsite throughout the duration of the contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and group instruction to students with learning disabilities in a self-contained LD classroom setting.
• Develop, implement, and modify Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to address student needs.
• Use varied teaching strategies and resources to facilitate meaningful learning experiences.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behavioral data.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and support needs.
• Collaborate with other teachers and specialists to enhance student achievement.
