Occupational Therapist School Setting in Tacoma, WA

This full-time role offers 40 hours per week and is instrumental in providing essential occupational therapy services within a dynamic school district. You’ll be one of just two OTs guiding support for both students and staff, directly influencing positive outcomes across the entire district.

Caseloads typically remain manageable at around 30 students, and you will play an active role in implementing Tier 1 supports for staff, fostering an inclusive and accessible learning environment for all.

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Active or eligible for WA state OT licensure/certification
• Previous school-based OT experience preferred
• Ability to support staff with Tier 1 interventions and collaborate across disciplines
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
• High professional standards; references will be verified as part of the hiring process

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy to students within the district
• Support, educate, and collaborate with classroom staff to implement Tier 1 interventions
• Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans, monitor progress, and document outcomes
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals
• Travel within the district as assigned
