Classroom Assistant | Rochester, New Hampshire

Seeking passionate paraprofessionals with previous school experience for contract opportunities supporting students at a local high school. Several positions are available, spanning both 1:1 assignments and classroom support roles. These roles are instrumental in enhancing students’ educational experience and providing essential assistance to classroom teachers throughout the academic year.

Key Qualifications:

• Prior experience working in school settings is required
• High school diploma (or equivalent) is the only educational credential requested; no additional para certification necessary
• Ability to provide three professional references, including one from your most recent manager, before interviewing
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
• Reliability and a supportive attitude in diverse classroom environments

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers with classroom management and instruction, providing direct support to students in both group and one-on-one settings
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment for students with various needs
• Support classroom activities, adapting to changing routines or student requirements as needed
• Maintain confidentiality regarding student information and school operations
• Participate in regular team meetings and communicate effectively with teaching staff

This contract runs from September 1, 2026, through June 16, 2027, covering the full academic year. The schedule is Monday to Friday, from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM (32.5 hours per week), with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
