Family Law Attorney
Job Description
Responsibilities
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, maintaining regular communication and providing case updates.
Manage an active caseload under the guidance and supervision of senior attorneys.
Draft pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other legal documents.
Conduct all phases of discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery, reviewing document productions, and preparing discovery motions.
Take and defend depositions, including preparing clients and witnesses.
Appear at court hearings, case management conferences, and other proceedings.
Assist with trial preparation, including witness preparation, exhibit organization, motion practice, and trial strategy.
Participate in bench and jury trials as experience and case needs allow.
Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on substantive and procedural issues.
Collaborate with attorneys and staff to develop case strategies and achieve successful client outcomes.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Active license and good standing with the applicable state bar.
2-5 years of litigation experience; family law experience is preferred.
Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
