Summary
Our client is at an exciting growth stage with a rapidly scaling portfolio of retail properties and an active development pipeline featuring national tenants. They are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a lean team and play a key role in building and maintaining the accounting infrastructure.
This is a high-impact position with direct exposure to the Chief Accounting Officer and ownership, offering strong visibility and the opportunity to contribute to process development in a growing platform.
The Role
The Senior Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting operations, support month-end close, and assist with development and property-level financial activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice processing, payments, and vendor management
- Prepare journal entries, perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations, and support month-end close
- Assist with construction accounting, including loan draw packages, budget tracking, and coordination with project teams
- Manage tenant billing, rent rolls, and support CAM reconciliations
- Contribute to cash reporting, process improvement, and documentation of procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience with Yardi and/or Procore
- 3+ years of experience in real estate, construction, or property management accounting
- Hands-on experience with AP, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Strong Excel and communication skills
Preferred
- Experience with CAM reconciliations
- CPA or CPA track
