Step into a dynamic school environment as a Special Education Teacher, supporting students in grades 3-5 within a dedicated Social Emotional Behavior classroom. This full-time contract opportunity requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, with hours from 8:20 AM to 3:40 PM, and runs until October, with the potential for extension based on school needs. The position is fully in-person and offers you the chance to make a meaningful difference every day.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification
  • Demonstrated experience working with elementary-aged students, ideally within social-emotional or behavioral settings
  • Strong classroom management skills and a compassionate approach
  • Ability to develop and deliver individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities for collaborating with colleagues and families
  • Proficiency with behavior intervention strategies and progress monitoring
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and adjust instruction tailored to student IEP goals
  • Foster a positive, structured, and supportive classroom climate
  • Utilize evidence-based interventions to support social, emotional, and behavioral growth
  • Collaborate closely with a team of professionals to plan and evaluate student progress
  • Maintain ongoing communication with parents and guardians regarding student achievements and areas of growth
  • Document and track academic, behavioral, and social progress
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development, and family conferences
