Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure as an SLP (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates also welcome
  • Previous experience in school-based settings or working with children highly valued
  • Knowledge of pediatric speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, effective collaboration abilities, and cultural sensitivity
  • Willingness to answer questions about working with SLPA (Speech-Language Pathology Assistants)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive speech and language therapy to students with varied communication needs
  • Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in close partnership with families and school staff
  • Conduct formal and informal assessments to identify speech and language deficits, track progress, and adjust interventions accordingly
  • Maintain accurate records and timely documentation to ensure compliance with district and state requirements
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with parents, teachers, and colleagues, fostering an inclusive educational atmosphere
