Job Description
Step into a full-time contract role as an elementary Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026–2027 school year. This position is based in a vibrant educational environment near McKinney, TX, where your expertise will empower roughly 40 young learners to reach their communication milestones. You will provide both direct and indirect speech-language services, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and play a pivotal part in the IEP process for elementary students.
What we’re seeking:
- Valid Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license (required)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
- Proven experience supporting elementary school-age children within a school setting
- Strong skills in speech-language evaluation, documentation, and IEP development
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Full-time availability (40 hours per week); part-time is not offered
- Reliable transportation to the onsite campus
As a key member of the team, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting student assessments and comprehensive speech-language evaluations
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring IEP goals in partnership with special education staff
- Providing individualized and group therapy tailored for elementary students
- Maintaining clear, timely documentation and progress reports
- Collaborating regularly with teachers, administrators, and families to maximize student success
