Qualifications:
- Valid, active Louisiana Department of Education teaching certificate (not TAT or in-progress)
- Proven classroom experience in general education, preferably at the elementary level
- Thorough understanding of curriculum standards and classroom management techniques
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, administrators, and support staff
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with students, guardians, and team members
- Must be able to complete required district credentialing, including a drug screen and fingerprinting
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver creative lesson plans that promote growth for diverse learners
- Monitor student progress and tailor instruction to support academic achievement
- Establish a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom climate
- Collaborate with grade-level teams to enhance instructional strategies
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and assessments
- Communicate regularly with families regarding students’ progress and classroom activities
