Key Qualifications:
- Valid special education teaching certification
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, especially in 5th grade
- Strong background in addressing reading, math, and executive functioning needs
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to implement individualized and small group instruction
- Familiarity with IEPs and progress monitoring
- Professional, flexible, and organized approach
Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted instruction to a group of approximately 12 students in small group settings
- Address individual learning differences in reading, mathematics, and executive functioning
- Coordinate closely with the regular education team to design and implement effective strategies
- Conduct ongoing assessment and adjust instruction as needed to meet student goals
- Maintain clear documentation of student progress and communicate regularly with families and staff
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to students’ educational planning
- Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
