Explore an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in early childhood special education as a Pre-K Special Education Teacher. This contract position begins September 1, 2026 and runs through June 25, 2027 with full-time hours, Monday through Friday. Openings are available for Preschool Disabilities (PSD) and Preschool Intervention (PSI) classrooms. In these roles, you’ll help create a supportive and dynamic learning environment for preschool students, working closely with families and expert teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver individualized, IEP-based instruction to preschool children in either a PSD or PSI classroom
  • Foster students’ academic, social, and developmental growth using evidence-based methods
  • Build collaborative partnerships with families, therapists, and school staff
  • Maintain accurate documentation and robust classroom management
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to support holistic student success

Qualifications:

  • Valid New Jersey Preschool through Grade 3 (P-3) teaching certification
  • For PSD: New Jersey Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) or Teacher of the Handicapped (TOH) certification
  • For PSI: New Jersey Special Education certification (TOSD or TOH accepted)
  • Preferred experience working with preschool-aged children with disabilities
  • Strong skills in communication, collaboration, and classroom management
  • Proven ability to use student IEPs to drive instructional planning and delivery
