Job Description
Step into a rewarding role supporting young learners as a full-time Speech Language Pathologist working on-site with early learning and elementary-aged students. Your expertise will make a meaningful difference for children ages 3–5, including developmental preschoolers, itinerant students, and those participating in child find evaluations. In this contract position, you’ll play an essential part in fostering communication growth during these key developmental years. Utilize your knowledge of speech-language pathology in schools, pediatrics, and teletherapy to shape interventions that build confidence and enrich the lives of each child you serve.
Desired Qualifications:
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Current Washington State ESA credential
- Experience with school-based SLP services (including SLP-CFY and SLP-CCC)
- Understanding of pediatric speech-language needs, early childhood development, and ability to adapt interventions for students ages 3–5
- Comfort conducting child find evaluations and supporting itinerant students
- Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide tailored speech-language therapy to early learners
- Conduct evaluations and contribute to IEP development for eligible students
- Deliver direct and consultative services for children in classroom and itinerant settings
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records and comply with state and federal education requirements
