Step into a dynamic role supporting 7th and 8th graders as an Educational Diagnostician on a contract basis for the upcoming school year. Based onsite at a thriving junior high, you’ll play an essential part in evaluating student needs and collaborating with educational teams to create positive learning outcomes.

In this full-time opportunity, you will work closely with students, families, and staff, primarily focusing on assessment and attending ARD meetings. An ARD facilitator is present on campus to streamline the process, leaving you free to concentrate on your areas of expertise. Expect a robust caseload of around 175-180 students, ensuring every day brings new challenges and learning experiences.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid and active Educational Diagnostician Endorsement (Texas certification)
  • Experience in school-based assessment, interpretation, and eligibility determination
  • Familiarity with ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meeting processes
  • Strong organizational skills to manage a sizable caseload efficiently
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with students, staff, and families
  • Committed to clear, accurate documentation and timely reporting

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive educational evaluations and assessments for 7th and 8th graders
  • Attend ARD meetings and present evaluation findings
  • Collaborate with general and special education staff to develop student-focused recommendations
  • Maintain up-to-date records for compliance and ongoing support
  • Provide insight and expertise during multidisciplinary team meetings

This is a 37.5-hour, onsite, school-year position running from early August through late May.
