Facilitate the collection, processing, and shipping of urine specimens
Collect urine specimens from patients, including observed and supervised collections
Follow departmental policies to correctly identify patients before specimen collection
Properly label, document, and prepare specimens for shipment
Demonstrate customer service and compassion when interacting with patients, physicians, and clinic staff
Communicate effectively with a diverse patient population
Follow Universal Precautions and OSHA standards when handling specimens
Strictly adhere to HIPAA guidelines regarding patient confidentiality
Report low volume shifts, issues, or procedural deviations to supervisors
Maintain tidy and organized work areas at all times
Assist in order processing and managing office supplies as needed
Required Skills

Strong computer competencies including multitasking across multiple programs and managing emails and reports
Fast and accurate data entry skills
Clear, concise communication with confidence and professionalism
Additional Skills & Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Physical capability to perform activities such as walking, sitting, bending, lifting, kneeling, and reaching
Previous experience in specimen collection, medical assisting, or related healthcare fields is preferred but not required
Flexibility to work scheduled evening and weekend hours, including Monday through Saturday shifts
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of basic competency in computer skills and data management
