Mancan is looking for a Machinist in the Girard area. This is a 1st shift. Pay is based on experienced, and discussed at time of interview, but can be up to $75,000 yearly.
Job Description:
Produce and modify tooling, as well as perform basic building and equipment maintenance.
Sets up, operates and maintains shop equipment such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses and powered hand tools. They accurately interpret blueprints in their efforts to produce high quality tooling for manufacturing purposes. They keep their shared work space neat and organized for maximum tool life and efficiency.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum 1 year of manual machining experience is required (5 years preferred)
o Manual lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses, powered hand tools
Machine, vehicle and/or building maintenance experience preferred but not required
Vocational Training, Apprenticeship or Technical Degree preferred
3-5 years of similar or related work experience is preferred but not required
Genuine mechanical aptitude
Manual dexterity, accuracy and attention to detail
Tool & die experience is preferred
Ability to use precision tools to take accurate measurements
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and manuals
Knowledge of metal properties preferred
Proven mathematical skills and analytical abilities
Ability to perform heavy lifting
Electrical experience preferred but not required
