Non-Destructive Testing Technician
Job Description
We are actively looking for a Level 1 radiographic testing (RT) technician. The ideal candidate would train in NDT on day shift before transferring to afternoon shift which comes with additional compensation. We have one day shift and one afternoon shift available for this role. This is a career building opportunity in non-destructive testing.
Job Duties:
Objective: to accurately set up castings for radiography.
Checks routing or requests to determine x-ray needs on parts.
Reviews Technique Cards to determine setup requirements, including x-ray techniques, part positions and film requirements based on Techniques Cards.
Sets up additional radiographs of defect areas not covered by Technique Cards.
Prepares daily film requests for darkroom based on production schedules and Technique Cards.
Sets up castings on tables in x-ray machines including fixturing, placement of film cassettes, and placement of nameplate identification and penetrometers on film; sets exposures.
Determines priority of radiographs to be taken.
Develops setup requirements for new techniques when needed.
Job Functions:
Operates x-ray machine control panels and equipment to take multiple views of castings, adjusting radiographic variables such as tube height, voltage and exposure times within customer specifications.
Regularly conducts more than one radiographic examination concurrently and is expected to be able to operate all machines.
Removes table from machine, takes film cassettes to darkroom for processing.
After darkroom processing, checks samples of radiographs on each casting for clarity, coverage, density and sensitivity; makes changes within customer specifications
Must provide proof and be a US citizen.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
AS9100 and/or Napcap experience a plus. We have positions available for morning and afternoon shifts in Marysville, Washington.

High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
Non-destructive testing: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
NDT Certification (Preferred)
