Job Description
Location: Lawrenceville, GA
Schedule: 1st training, transition to 2nd Shift or 3rd shift
Pay: $22.00–$28.00 per hour, depending on experience
Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm
We are seeking an experienced Digital Press Operator to join our production team. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting a Barberan Jetmaster Digital Press while producing high-quality printed products that meet customer specifications. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Responsibilities- Operate and maintain the Barberan Jetmaster Digital Press.
- Read and interpret job tickets to determine setup specifications and production requirements.
- Set up print jobs using proper setup techniques.
- Inspect equipment before and after each production run.
- Monitor product quality, including print accuracy, size, warp, loose liner, and overall appearance.
- Maximize machine productivity while maintaining quality standards.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and minor mechanical repairs.
- Report equipment issues and submit maintenance work orders as needed.
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
- Remove and replace damaged materials using hand tools when necessary.
- Assist with training team members on machine setup and operation.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Support other departments as needed to maximize production efficiency.
- Follow all safety procedures, standard operating procedures, and PPE requirements.
- Conduct ink and material testing/requalification as required.
- Utilize measuring tools and inspection equipment to verify product quality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating and maintaining digital printing equipment or equivalent manufacturing experience.
- Experience with manufacturing equipment such as stackers, presses, corrugators, folders, cutters, and gluers is preferred.
- Knowledge of digital printing equipment and processes.
- Understanding of ink and substrate qualification/testing.
- Experience with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and color accuracy.
- Mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and repair experience.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and technical manuals.
- Basic computer skills for entering production data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Experience using measuring devices such as rulers, calipers, and micrometers.
- Ability to identify common packaging and print defects.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Willingness to work overtime when needed.
- Ability to travel internationally for occasional training (less than 10%).
- Frequent standing, walking, talking, hearing, and close visual inspection throughout the shift.
- Frequent use of hands for handling equipment and materials.
- Occasional bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Pay Details: $22.00 to $28.00 per hour
