Receptionist

LHH is seeking a professional and polished Receptionist for a well-established company in the construction industry in San Jose, California. This position serves as the first point of contact for visitors, clients, vendors, and internal employees while supporting daily administrative operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced office environment.

Responsibilities
  • Welcome and assist visitors, clients, vendors, and guests in a professional manner
  • Manage a multi-line phone system and direct incoming calls appropriately
  • Coordinate conference room scheduling and meeting logistics
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front office environment
  • Support administrative projects including document preparation, filing, data entry, and records management
  • Assist with scheduling, calendar coordination, and general office support functions
  • Order and track office supplies while maintaining inventory levels
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external business partners
  • Provide additional administrative support to leadership and office staff as needed
Requirements
  • Previous receptionist, front desk, administrative assistant, or office support experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional phone etiquette and customer service skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy office setting
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience within construction, engineering, property development, or a related industry is preferred
