Responsibilities

Draw quality blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established procedures.

Prepare specimens for laboratory testing ensuring proper labeling, documentation, and handling.

Explain procedures to patients to create a comfortable environment and build trust.

Maintain accurate records and documentation of collected specimens and related information.

Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a professional, confidential environment.

Demonstrate leadership behaviors while focusing on process excellence and sensitivity to patient confidentiality and privacy.

Required Skills

Excellent phlebotomy skills, with prior experience in specimen collection.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong customer service skills and professionalism in patient interactions.

Proficiency in keyboard and data entry tasks.

Additional Skills & Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

Phlebotomy certification preferred, required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience required; over one year preferred.

Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime based on staffing needs.

Reliable transportation to the worksite; personal transportation is preferred over ride services.

Must be within a 20-25 minute commute to the work location to ensure punctuality and coverage.
