Job Description
A retail pharmacy located near Matthews, NC, is seeking a licensed pharmacist to provide ongoing per diem coverage primarily for PTO absences. This role offers flexibility with an initial assignment scheduled for August 8, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Responsibilities:
- Verify prescriptions accurately for safety and appropriateness
- Offer light patient counseling, focusing on blood pressure medications
- Ensure smooth and safe pharmacy operations throughout the shift
Qualifications:
- Active pharmacist license in North Carolina, maintained in good standing
- Proven experience in verifying and dispensing prescriptions in a retail setting
- Comfortable providing patient counseling, especially regarding blood pressure medications
- Reliable, professional, and willing to serve on an as-needed PRN basis
Schedule:
- 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
- Per diem/PRN, ongoing PTO coverage as needed
