Part Time Staff Pharmacist — Float Coverage (Contract)

A well-established outpatient retail pharmacy operation seeks a licensed pharmacist to provide part time float coverage across three regional locations. This contract position offers the opportunity to support vacation and sick leave needs with a flexible schedule and potential to grow toward full time hours for the right candidate.

Locations and Schedule:

• Cooperstown: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:30 PM; moderate volume (~1,100 prescriptions/week)
• Oneonta: Monday–Friday plus Saturday 9:00 AM–2:00 PM; higher volume, busier days expected
• Delhi: Monday–Friday schedule; outpatient retail setting

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescription medications accurately using the PioneerRx system
• Verify patient information and insurance via EPIC electronic medical records
• Provide immunization services and support Meds to Beds program for hospitalized patients
• Deliver exceptional customer service consistently
• Adapt to workflow demands by floating among all three locations as needed

Qualifications:

• Active New York State Pharmacist license in good standing
• Experience in retail or outpatient pharmacy settings required
• Comfortable handling high volume dispensing preferred
• Familiarity with PioneerRx and EPIC systems a plus
• Immunization certification or willingness to obtain
• Availability for occasional Saturday shifts at Oneonta location
• Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to excellent patient care

This contract role begins part time at 0.4 FTE with coverage flexibility across three sites. There is potential for increased hours to full time depending on candidate fit and client needs.
