School Psychologist - Conroe, Texas
Job Description
Step into a key role supporting student well-being and success within a dynamic school environment this academic year! We’re seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate professional to provide school psychologist services on a contract basis, serving K–12 students across two to three local sites. This school-based position offers the chance to work with a caseload of approximately 60–80 students, with 8–10 evaluations each month, ensuring you make a tangible difference while keeping your workday engaging and meaningful.
Key Details:
- Contract runs from late July through the end of May
- Full-time schedule: 37.5 hours per week
- Serve multiple student populations (K–12) across 2–3 school locations
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist credential (state licensure/certification required)
- Experience or training in psychoeducational assessments, counseling, and report writing
- Familiarity working with diverse learning and behavioral needs in a school setting
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to travel between assigned school sites
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for students, including eligibility assessments and re-evaluations
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop educational plans and interventions
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention as needed
- Support Response to Intervention (RTI) and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) processes
- Maintain timely documentation and stay up-to-date with educational best practices
- Serve as a consultant regarding student learning, behavior, and mental health
