Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification in Special Education, K-6 or PK-3
- Experience with elementary-aged students, preferably in a resource setting
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Compassion, patience, and a genuine commitment to student success
Primary Duties:
- Provide direct instruction and individualized support for students in a resource classroom
- Develop and implement IEPs, ensuring educational goals are appropriate and attainable
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet diverse learning needs
- Monitor student progress, maintaining up-to-date records and documentation
- Communicate regularly with families, teachers, and support personnel regarding student performance and goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Create a positive, supportive, and structured learning environment
