Key Qualifications:

  • Valid certification in Special Education, K-6 or PK-3
  • Experience with elementary-aged students, preferably in a resource setting
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
  • Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Compassion, patience, and a genuine commitment to student success

Primary Duties:

  • Provide direct instruction and individualized support for students in a resource classroom
  • Develop and implement IEPs, ensuring educational goals are appropriate and attainable
  • Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet diverse learning needs
  • Monitor student progress, maintaining up-to-date records and documentation
  • Communicate regularly with families, teachers, and support personnel regarding student performance and goals
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Create a positive, supportive, and structured learning environment
