Embrace a rewarding opportunity supporting middle school students as a dedicated Evaluation Team Leader for the 2026–2027 academic year. This full-time, on-site contract role calls for passionate special education professionals ready to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, collaborate with families and staff, and lead the special education process for grades 6–8.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring compliance with federal and state special education regulations, reporting to the Chief of Exceptional Learning and building principals.
  • Coordinating and facilitating all aspects of M.G.L. 71B and 603 CMR 28.00 Special Education Regulations.
  • Acting as a vital liaison among families, school leadership, staff, and community partners to develop effective support and services.
  • Overseeing accuracy and completion of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for your assigned caseload.
  • Participating in professional development sessions as required by the Bureau of Pupil Services.

Desired qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Massachusetts certification as a Teacher for Students with Moderate Disabilities is preferred; other DESE certifications or licensure may be considered.
  • Typically, ETLs possess a Massachusetts Special Education Teacher or counseling license.
  • At least three years of successful experience in public schools.
  • Training or experience in special education, counseling, guidance, or psychology.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness working with diverse children and adults in a multicultural environment.
  • Empathy for students and adults with special needs.

Requirements include submitting your complete resume, active Massachusetts educator license, and undergoing drug screening, fingerprinting, and background checks.
