Qualifications and Experience:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with students, teachers, and families
- Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation
- Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Compassion, patience, and adaptability in a dynamic school environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Conduct evaluations, assessments, and re-evaluations to determine therapy needs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support each student’s progress
- Maintain accurate records and timely documentation
- Assist with mobility, adaptive equipment, and accessibility recommendations within the school setting
- Promote physical well-being and independence for students with varying abilities
