Soliant is seeking a BCBA for a school-based contract position with a local school district near Northfolk, VA. Daily work schedule: 8am-3:30pm
Caseload size: 10-15 students
Primary duties:
BCBA will be expected to support 5 classrooms
Train staff (teachers & paraprofessionals) on ABA strategies reducing negative behaviors and increasing positive behaviors through the analysis of data
Provide hand-over-hand support to staff on how to positively reinforce, de-escalate, & ensure a safe and orderly classroom environment
This support should be provided in real time and modeled. Emails of support and ways to maintain what was modeled should always follow.
The BCBA may be asked to serve as a classroom support person when staff are absent or there are staffing shortages.
The BCBA may also be asked to provide training to teachers and paraprofessionals on PD days (data collection, behavior management, use of visuals, etc.).
