Embrace an exciting opportunity to support students and staff as a School Psychologist for a full academic year in the greater Boston area. This dynamic contract position covers two key leaves of absence, allowing you to make a significant difference at both the elementary and high school levels.

The first assignment, beginning September 1 and concluding November 2, 2026, calls for expertise in conducting initial evaluations and revaluations at an elementary school. Additional responsibilities include chairing IEP meetings and delivering valuable counseling services to students.

The second assignment transitions you to a high school, overlapping with an outgoing psychologist on December 21 and 22 to ensure a seamless handoff. In this role, your focus will be on providing initial and re-evaluations for students within the resource program, continuing through early May.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure
  • Master’s or specialist-level degree in School Psychology or related field
  • Demonstrated experience with psychological assessments, including initials and re-evaluations
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and legal compliance
  • Strong counseling skills with the ability to support diverse student populations
  • Experience chairing IEP meetings preferred
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive psychoeducational assessments for student referrals and re-evaluations
  • Chair and contribute actively to IEP meetings
  • Provide individual and small group counseling services
  • Collaborate with staff and families on intervention planning
  • Maintain detailed and compliant documentation
