Beginning mid-August through the end of October, you’ll serve as essential maternity coverage, making a meaningful difference during a pivotal time in the academic year. Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with active credentials to practice in the state.
- Previous experience working in a school setting and/or serving K-12 students strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with IEP processes, progress monitoring, and treatment planning for a range of ages and abilities.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, students, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to adapt therapeutic strategies to both individual and group settings.
- Proficiency with documentation specific to school-based therapy services.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop individualized treatment plans for students receiving OT services.
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy in accordance with each student’s IEP.
- Monitor student progress, documenting outcomes and adjusting plans as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with classroom staff to support student participation and success.
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing professional input and advocacy for student needs.
- Educate and support teachers and families regarding adaptive strategies and accommodations.
