Qualifications and Experience:

• Special Education Teacher certification in South Carolina (or status pending).
• Previous experience or strong interest in teaching in a self-contained classroom for students with learning disabilities.
• Knowledge of IEP writing, implementation, and progress monitoring.
• Ability to adapt and modify curriculum to meet individualized needs.
• Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Comfortable working exclusively onsite in a school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver lessons in a self-contained LD classroom, following IEP goals and state standards.
• Create an inclusive, supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and confidence.
• Conduct ongoing assessment of student progress, documenting outcomes and adjusting strategies as necessary.
• Collaborate with fellow educators, paraprofessionals, and support staff to ensure comprehensive student support.
• Communicate regularly with families, sharing progress updates and building positive relationships.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student planning.
