Requirements:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certification
- Proven experience working with students with disabilities
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to modify instructional strategies and materials
- Organizational skills and flexibility in managing caseloads
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field required; Master’s degree preferred
What You’ll Do:
- Develop, implement, and assess Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Communicate student progress and needs to families and staff
- Adapt general education curriculum for students with identified needs
- Work alongside general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Create an inclusive, positive learning environment that fosters student participation
- Maintain documentation and compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Participate in professional development and staff meetings
