We are seeking a dedicated Behavior Specialist for a full-time contract role, working exclusively onsite with a diverse student caseload. This engaging opportunity starts August 24, 2026 and continues through June 10, 2027, supporting schools in a pivotal, hands-on capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver initial and ongoing training to staff on instructional practices and behavioral plans for students with Autism.
- Provide refresher sessions related to updated procedures and evidence-based strategies.
- Collaborate with educators and administrators to review IEPs, BIPs, and necessary documentation at the school year’s onset.
- Facilitate the transfer and expansion of best practices from anchor classrooms into other autism support spaces.
- Work directly with students to model and reinforce evidence-based interventions.
- Offer classroom-based coaching, feedback, and corrective guidance to support team fidelity.
- Partner closely with consultants to align efforts with state implementation frameworks.
- Maintain an active, supportive presence onsite for staff and students, especially during critical transition periods.
- Ensure the consistent, high-quality implementation of individualized student programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Pennsylvania educator certification in Special Education or a related field.
- Extensive knowledge of evidence-based methodologies for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- Direct experience within autism support or special education classrooms in urban school environments.
- Ability to meet all Pennsylvania required clearances.
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to work between 7:15AM–4:00PM without schedule exceptions.
- Comfortable engaging with district staff, administrators, and community partners.
- Experience in similar district settings preferred.
The position involves a single full-time opening, offering 35 hours weekly in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. A Zoom interview will be part of the hiring process.
