Qualifications and Skills:

• Current certification in Special Education (state-specific credential may be required)
• Proven experience with elementary and/or middle school students
• Comfort providing toileting assistance
• Knowledge of best practices for inclusive education

Responsibilities:

• Teach and support a caseload of 6 elementary and 11 middle school students in self-contained settings
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and behavior technician in the elementary classroom; work alongside 3 full-time teaching assistants, a 1:1, and an additional teacher in the middle school classroom
• Provide toileting assistance as needed; minimal feeding support (middle school with single feeding tube)
• Differentiate curriculum and instruction tailored to student IEPs
