Special Education Teacher in Allentown, PA

Multiple positions are open for dynamic educators to support elementary, middle, and high school students across a variety of special education service areas for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Openings include:

• One Autistic Support teacher at the elementary level
• One Learning Support teacher at the middle school level
• Four Learning Support teachers at the high school level

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate at the time of start; emergency permits will be considered through HR sponsorship
• Experience or strong interest in special education settings, with the ability to create engaging, individualized learning environments
• Dedication to fostering growth and independence in students with a wide range of learning differences
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with students, families, and professional teams

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to meet student needs
• Utilize evidence-based instructional methods in the classroom
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary
• Partner with school staff and families to support student achievement and well-being
• Participate in professional meetings, IEP conferences, and school community events

Details:

• 35 hours per week
• Contract dates: August 24, 2026 – June 10, 2027
• Schedule varies by assignment:
  • Elementary: 8:15 AM – 3:45 PM
  • Middle: 7:15 AM – 2:45 PM
  • High: 7:13 AM – 2:43 PM
