Mechanical Service Technician

NOTE: This is a 12 month contract with the possibility of converting permanently. Pay is $20/hr and will be working onsite in Tempe, AZ.

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Gate Valve Service Technician I to support a major semiconductor client. This hands-on role is responsible for preparing gate valves and related components for the remanufacturing process through disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and packaging activities. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and thrives in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team supporting critical semiconductor manufacturing operations while gaining valuable experience in equipment refurbishment and maintenance.

Responsibilities

- Disassemble gate valves and related components using hand tools and basic mechanical equipment.
- Clean components utilizing high-pressure washers, bead blasters, sand blasters, and other approved cleaning methods.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on shop equipment in support of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives.
- Prepare and assemble shipping crates and packaging for finished products and replacement parts.
- Follow established production processes while meeting quality, safety, and productivity goals.
- Support continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives to improve workflow efficiency and reduce waste.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment.
- Work independently and collaboratively to achieve departmental production objectives.
- Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
