Travel Inpatient Pharmacist in San Bernardino, CA

A healthcare facility on the California Central Coast is seeking three qualified travel Pharmacists to support their inpatient pharmacy operations. This opportunity offers a dynamic work environment where you will play a key role in patient care through medication management and clinical consultation.

Locations: San Luis Obispo, CA and Templeton, CA

Schedule:

• 2 Pharmacists needed for day shifts (four 10-hour days per week)
• 2 Pharmacists needed for night shifts (rotating schedule of 7 days on, 7 days off)

Duration: 13+ weeks, with an ASAP start date

Core Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders with accuracy and attention to detail
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure safe and efficient operations
• Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses to optimize medication therapy
• Engage in pharmacokinetic monitoring and dosing adjustments
• Utilize hospital information systems, including Cerner and Omnicell, to manage pharmaceutical care

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active California pharmacist license required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent inpatient pharmacy experience preferred
• Proficiency with both EPIC and Cerner electronic health records systems essential
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced hospital environment and work independently
