Elementary Special Education Teacher in Milford, KS

What We’re Looking For:

• Active Special Education Teacher certification aligned with elementary grade levels
• Prior experience in an elementary school setting, particularly with low-incidence populations, strongly preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Deep commitment to differentiated instruction and fostering an environment where every child feels seen and valued
• Flexibility, patience, and a problem-solving mindset
• Ability to implement and monitor IEPs, collect and analyze data, and tailor learning experiences to each student’s needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs in low-incidence classrooms
• Assess, develop, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
• Communicate proactively with families about student progress and strategies for reinforcement at home
• Participate in IEP meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities
