School Speech Language Pathologist - Walkerton, IN
Job Description
Take your speech-language pathology expertise to a dynamic educational environment serving students ages 2 to 22. This contract opportunity offers 35 hours per week onsite for the 2026-2027 school year. Bring your skills to a role focused on making a real difference for students with moderate to severe disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and provide targeted speech-language therapy, including intervention in areas of assistive technology, augmentative communication, articulation, voice, feeding, and receptive/expressive language delays
- Conduct diagnostic and evaluation assessments to inform treatment plans
- Prepare comprehensive, insightful reports based on student assessments and observations
- Work directly with teachers, staff, and families to support each student's growth
- Develop and maintain IEP objectives tailored to student needs
- Communicate effectively with parents and peers regarding student development and ongoing support needs
- Support students using a flexible, problem-solving approach
Qualifications:
- Current Indiana Professional License (IPLA) and eligibility for license from Department of Education (IDOE)
- Open to Clinical Fellows (CFY) and SLPs with at least 1-2 years of experience preferred
- Background working with students with disabilities in school settings a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Demonstrated flexibility and collaborative mindset
