Make a meaningful impact in an elementary school setting as a School Psychologist, supporting students’ emotional and academic growth throughout the upcoming semester. This contract opportunity, based near Jersey City, NJ, offers a chance to work closely with young learners and collaborate with a dedicated educational team.

This role is scheduled for regular school hours from 8:30 am to 3:45 pm and will run from September 2nd to January 1st. You’ll manage a caseload of approximately 25-30 students, in addition to providing counseling services to about 15 students.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Valid certification as a School Psychologist
  • School social worker certificate preferred
  • Experience working with elementary school-aged children
  • Strong counseling, assessment, and report-writing skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to support individualized educational planning
  • Provide direct counseling services to students, addressing academic, social, and behavioral issues
  • Work proactively with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop strategies for student success
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multi-disciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate documentation and timely reporting for all assigned cases
  • Support the broader mental health and well-being initiatives across the school community
