School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Somerton, Arizona

Take your passion for helping students succeed and make a difference as a school-based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. This contract opportunity offers a full-time schedule working with students from PreK to 8th grade at a single school site in the Yuma, AZ area. You’ll be part of a supportive educational environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to enrich communication skills for young learners.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active AZ SLPA License is required.
• IVP Fingerprint Card must be present and valid.
• Experience working in school settings, preferably with PreK-8th grade, strongly preferred.
• Skilled in providing speech-language pathology support under the direction of a licensed SLP.
• Ability to adapt to varied caseload needs as determined.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and indirect speech-language services to a diverse PreK-8th grade student population.
• Implement intervention plans in collaboration with supervising SLPs.
• Collect data, maintain thorough documentation, and assist with progress monitoring.
• Support students’ participation and communication within the classroom.
• Work closely with teachers, staff, and families to help each child reach their communication goals.
• Remain adaptable to changing caseloads and evolving student needs.
• Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal documentation requirements.
