Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Current, active LPN or LVN license
- Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or community health setting highly valued
- Familiarity with care planning, medication administration, and emergency response
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with students, parents, and staff
- Strong record-keeping and organizational abilities
- Ability to multitask and adjust to changing needs in a busy educational setting
- CPR certification and TB clearance (or willingness to obtain)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver essential nursing care, including medication administration, chronic health management, and urgent first response for illness or injury
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to support student health plans and educational success
- Participate in care team meetings, IEPs, and staff development sessions as needed
- Maintain thorough documentation of health services in compliance with district, local, and state guidelines
- Educate students on wellness strategies and healthy habits
- Support preventative health screenings and immunization compliance
- Serve as a trusted resource for staff and students throughout the school day
