Job Description
Take the next step in your career as a dedicated School Psychologist providing vital support to students across both elementary and middle school settings. This full-time, on-site contract position offers the unique opportunity to work with a diverse caseload at two nearby schools, fostering the academic, social, and emotional development of children in Wilmington, DE.
As an integral part of the educational team, you’ll split your time between engaging with students and staff at both the elementary and middle school levels. You’ll collaborate with educators and families, conduct assessments, and contribute to student success through meaningful interventions and support.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Valid Delaware (DE) School Psychologist license (mandatory).
- Completed resume highlighting relevant experience and credentials.
- Strong background in psychological assessment and consultation within school environments.
- Experience supporting elementary and middle school students preferred.
- Solid understanding of multi-tiered systems of support and IEP processes.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive psychological services to students at both the elementary and middle school.
- Conduct evaluations, interpret data, and write reports to inform special education eligibility and programming.
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to implement effective academic and behavioral interventions.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and multidisciplinary teams.
- Help design strategies and supports to promote student learning and wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records.
Position Details:
- Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
- Contract runs from August 25, 2026, through June 8, 2027.
- Convenient travel between two closely located schools.
