Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-focused care while overseeing all unit or department functions during their assigned shift. Working closely with the management team, the CNC is responsible for directing, monitoring, and assessing nursing care in line with established policies and procedures. This role also serves as a resource for staff and exemplifies a commitment to our organization’s vision, mission, and values, ultimately enhancing patient experiences and clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitates admission and discharge processes to promote efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
  • Engages in continuous evaluation of patient care quality in collaboration with management.
  • Works with subject matter experts and fellow managers to foster a collaborative environment that enhances outcomes and service delivery.
  • Embraces a patient-first philosophy and participates in service recovery when necessary.
  • Contributes to improving staff engagement by implementing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding and hourly check-ins.
  • Provides input on interviewing, selecting, and training new team members. Recommends and executes actions related to training, conflict resolution, compliance with personnel policies, performance evaluations, and disciplinary measures to ensure a competitive organization.
  • Assists in staff scheduling and manages labor resources in accordance with patient care needs and productivity standards.
  • Ensures effective inventory management and assists in overseeing supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma is necessary.
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is required.
